Working with people of integrity creates an environment of trust, reliability, and respect. This statement comes to mind when I think about my conversations with the Willowgrove Development Team. The team listened to various stakeholder groups and made a best effort to satisfy the concerns and needs of our citizens. If you don’t vote for this project you are not vested in the future of our community.

I firmly believe Davis needs new housing and this specific project is a great fit for our community. This project has a strong affordable housing element, accelerated timelines to get homes ready for move in, excellent recreational and community component and so much more. The location makes perfect sense within the existing footprint of our town and is just something we are in dire need of here in Davis!

I’m proud to enthusiastically endorse Willowgrove because it reflects the kind of thoughtful, sustainable growth our community needs. The project combines a strong commitment to affordable housing with community benefits that everyone can enjoy, including new ball fields, walking paths, and a beautiful public park. Willowgrove demonstrates that when we plan growth well, we can expand housing opportunities, invest in shared public spaces, and build a stronger, more vibrant Davis for current and future generations.

I began evaluating Environmental Impact Reports for large residential projects in 1984, both in my jobs and on city commissions. In my experience, Willowgrove is the most exceptional project I have ever encountered.

Following the recent defeat of Measure V, the Willowgrove project is now more critical than ever to ensure Davis can successfully navigate its systemic housing shortage. Because a Tentative Subdivision Map has already been secured, approving this project guarantees an accelerated construction timeline that could see housing occupancy begin as early as 2028. We need this for the survival of Davis’ future.

I support the Willowgrove development because it will include IDD housing—safe, affordable homes designed for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they can live independently with support. As a former special education teacher, parent, and proud member of the recovery community, I believe this project is a practical and necessary step toward making Davis more inclusive and sustainable.

Locating affordable housing is the number one goal for people with developmental disabilities building their independent life. Willowgrove is creating a partnership with Alta Regional to create dedicated housing for people with developmental disabilities. This is an exciting partnership bringing equity to a marginalized community.

Willowgrove not only helps fill the gap in housing for the missing middle, but it makes an unprecedented commitment to those most in need within our own community. In particular it goes above and beyond for those with intellectual or developmental disabilities, and for those with low income.

As a teacher at Patwin Elementary, I see firsthand why Davis needs affordable and family-friendly housing like Willowgrove to keep our schools vibrant and healthy. Many of my students and coworkers love Davis but have to live somewhere else. People should be able to live where they work and go to school.

As a parent, I care deeply about the future of Davis. I’m voting Yes on W because I believe we need more housing choices, parks, and neighborhoods that allow families of all stages to build a life here while preserving what makes Davis special.

As the president of DYSA I personally support Willowgrove because it brings much needed housing for our families. It will also bring additional sports fields for the young women of Davis and surrounding communities.

Davis needs to attract a new generation of families to keep our City vibrant and diverse into the future. Willowgrove will help stabilize schools and make it easier for people who already work here to live here as well.

Housing is an essential need for our community, this project provides much needed amenities as well as community space to help this part of our City.

Willowgrove is the right choice for Davis. Their plan is transparent, comprehensive and exactly what Davis needs. I fully support Willowgrove.

Willowgrove is the rare project that delivers what Davis needs on many fronts, because it was designed through four years of community feedback. It’s the right location and the right size, and most importantly the right time for Davis. They have an approved transparent plan from the start, and a clear timeline to open doors.
